2007 Streicker Wines Ironstone Block Old Vine Cabernet Sauvignon  SOLD OUT

This is the first of the Ironstone Cabernet Sauvignons. It is a very pure expression of Wilyabrup Cabernet from a warm and kind growing season. Aromas of mulberry, cassis, violets and bay leaves make way for concentrated flavours of ripe berries, mocha and mineral. The flavours are cradled by savoury tannins, which complement a succulent acidity. A fine, precise wine, intriguing now for the brightness and freshness of youth, appealing later after careful cellaring for complexity and balance.

2008 Streicker Wines Ironstone Block Old Vine Cabernet Sauvignon

Saturated purple black wine, which stains the glass. Ripe dark red and black fruits are inter-
twined with violets, mocha and cassis. The tannins are ripe, full and authoritative as they melt in
the succulent acidity and juicy flavours. A tightly wrapped wine showing enormous potential to reward careful maturation. A fine example of the purity of 100 % varietal Margaret River
Cabernet Sauvignon.

2009 Streicker Wines Bridgeland Block Syrah

This pure Syrah wine was hand made using traditional winemaking techniques, including open fermentation, and extended maturation in fine grained French oak barriques for eighteen months. Aromas of all-spice, blueberries, violets and red fruit are balanced by tar, graphite and roast game.  The soft, yet definite tannin grip is balanced by natural acidity. This wine is enjoyable now for its youth and freshness, however for those who seek increased complexity, try cellaring this wine for three to five years. Ideal for those who enjoy savoury Syrah.
